Yoko Ono (jap. "Kind des Ozeans"; * 18. Februar 1933 in Tokio) ist eine japanisch-amerikanische Künstlerin der Fluxus-Bewegung, Filmemacherin, Komponistin experimenteller Musik und Sängerin. Sie hatte sich bereits in Künstlerkreisen einen Namen gemacht, als sie durch ihre Ehe mit John Lennon auch einem nicht kunstinteressierten Publikum bekannt wurde. Ihr Einfluss auf ihren dritten Ehemann John Lennon war so groß, dass Kritiker sogar behaupteten, sie habe die Beatles auseinander gebracht.
