Im Gegensatz zu Chartsplatzierungen werden Gold- bzw. Platin-Schallplatten für die Gesamtverkäufe verliehen.

Gold erreicht eine Langspielplatte mit 100.000 verkauften Einheiten, eine Single mit 150.000. Für Platin braucht es 200.000 bzw. 300.000 verkaufte Einheiten.

DVDs bekommen für 25.000 verkaufte Einheiten Gold, für 50.000 Platin.
