Bandgeschichte

Die Zwillingsbrüder Williams und Jimi Goodwin lernen sich mit 15 auf der Schule kennen und gründen eine Band namens Sub Sub, mit der sie Dancemusik produzieren und eine Single veröffentlichen. 1996 brennt ihr Studio nieder, woraufhin sie sich in Doves umbenennen und mehrere EPs veröffentlichen, auf denen sich ihr Musikstil in Richtung Rock gewandelt hat. 2000 erscheint das Debütalbum Lost Souls, dass es in die Top 20 der UK-Charts schafft. Die Single There Goes The Fear, die 2002 erscheint kommt sogar auf Platz 3 der Single-Charts (obwohl sie nach nur einem Tag aus dem Handel genommen und vernichtet wird) und das darauffolgende Album The Last Broadcast wird Nummer 1. Das Nachfolgeralbum Some Cities aus dem Jahr 2005 erreicht dieselbe Chartplatzierung und erhält gute Kritiken.
