Biographie
Paul Epworth ist einer der wichtigsten Produzenten und Remixer der britischen Musikszene der 2000er. Er stammt aus London, experimentierte schon als Elfjähriger mit Kassetten- und Keyboardsampling, schrieb mit 13 seine ersten Songs und machte mit 17 erste Aufnahmen mit einer Band. Seit 2004 produzierte er einige der zentralen Alben der neuen Post-Punk-Bewegung, insbesondere die Debütalben von Bloc Party, The Futureheads und The Rakes. Als Phones ist er gleichzeitig für eine Vielzahl von Remixen verantwortlich, die sich ebenfalls hoher Beliebtheit erfreuen. Er betätigt sich auch als Musiker, spielte in der Band Lomax und will nun als Phones auch eigene Musik veröffentlichen.
