Biographie
Gill lernt auf der Schule Jon King und die beiden gründen mit Hugo Burnham und Dave Allen Gang Of Four. Neben dem Songwriting produziert er auch alle Alben der Band und beginnt gleichzeitig früh damit, auch für andere Bands zu arbeiten. So produziert er u.a. die Debütalben der Red Hot Chili Peppers und der Futureheads. Letztere äußern sich später unzufrieden über die Zusammenarbeit, weswegen sie für News & Tributes einen neuen Produzenten verpflichten. Gill besitzt ein eigenes Studio im Zentrum Londons, The Beauchamp Building. Er ist mit der Journalistin Catherine Mayer verheiratet.
