Bandgeschichte

"The Fall – Always different, always the same", pflegte John Peel immer zu sagen, wenn es um seine Lieblingsband ging. Jede ihrer rund 150(!) Veröffentlichungen besitzt einerseits den uniquen scheppernden und disharmonisch Fall-Klang, stark geprägt vom nöligen "Gesang" des Bandmasterminds Mark E. Smiths, doch jedes Fall-Album besitzt auch einen für sich speziellen Charakter und stellt eine Weiterentwicklung dar. Bei mittlerweile 25 Studioalben in 29 Jahren ist das ein gewaltiger und gewagter Weg, den The Fall beschritten haben.
